Fishing for Kracken

Upon the deck at sea the storm comes rolling in
Petite sloop heaves to and fro in the turbulent froth
Pitching with the waves
One last line for dinner’s catch dragging in ‘for setting tack
Homeward bound sets he
Butcher Brown with his galley heavy
Treasures from the sea
The stout line bobs and darts
Descends with a sudden violent jerk
Sends Butcher Brown a heaving
Splashed down upon the mossy deck, his catch na’er be leaving
Yanked heavily off his feet he struggles for the wheel
Spinning rapidly
Faces the rising keel
The butcher he flails about helplessly
Upended and choking by the sea
The mast snapped down beside him
Sails fluttering in ghostly form
A vengeful wraith a calling
To shelter from the storm
Butcher Brown now burbles
Gasping rightly for air
Calling out ‘the Kracken comes!’
With his last mighty breath he lashes tight
High upon the shattered mast
Darting under and out o’er the waves
With a tenuous snap of its tentacles
The mastly missile soared aloft
A javelin catch upon the rocky Outcast shore
Splintered shudder, the mast again stands and Butcher Brown is heard no more.

So if you are a brave and hearty crew
(and slightly daft to boot)
You’ll go fishing off of Outcast Island
Trying to rob the Kraken of her loot.

Very cool!! Was this impromptu or written ahead? I like it a lot!

The bejeweled words bounce around Barbossa's moneypile each time and land inside my head during the events.
